Two of the three One-Day International matches were won by Bangladesh, which resulted in the country’s victory in the series. Mehidy was a huge part of Bangladesh’s victory in the match before this one as well. His remarkable performance at the batting crease helped Bangladesh win the inaugural one-day international. He made a century in the second one-day international, and his teammate Mahmudullah contributed 77 runs to Bangladesh’s victory in the match.

In this particular encounter, Bangladesh prevailed in the coin toss and selected to bat first. The beginning of the match did not go well for Bangladesh, as they lost their wickets in rapid succession one after the other. The first batter, Anamul Haque, was dismissed after scoring only 11 runs. Mohammed Siraj was the one who ended up grabbing the wicket. Additionally, Litton Das was dismissed by Siraj. Shanto batted for 35 balls, scored 21 runs, including three fours, and was eventually dismissed by Umran Malik. Both Shakib al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim were dismissed before they could make a significant contribution to the team’s total. Both wickets were taken by Washington Sundar, who was the player who was responsible for both. Afif Hossain got duck and then out by Sundar. After that, Mahmudullah and Mehidy did their best and helped Bangladesh get into the best position possible. Following a total of 50 overs and suffering the loss of 7 wickets, Bangladesh reached a score of 271 runs. During this match, India’s Washington Sundar collected three wickets, Umran Malik scored two wickets, and Mohammed Siraj collected two wickets.

When it came time for India to try and beat the score, they were unable to do so. India got off to a terrible start, as both of its openers were eliminated in the first few minutes of the match. Ebadat Hossain was the one who bowled out Virat Kohli after the Indian batsman had only made 5 runs. Mustafizur Rahman was the one who dismissed Shikhar Dhawan after he had hit 8 runs. Shreyas Iyer did everything he could and scored 82 runs off 102 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. He got out Mehidy Hasan. Sundar was dismissed by Shakib, resulting in a total of only 11 runs being scored. KL Rahul was responsible for 14 runs scored and was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan. Axar Patel hit three sixes and two fours while he was batting for his team and scored 56 runs off of 56 balls. He got out by Shakib. Ebadot was the one who got Deepak out after he had scored 11 runs. Even though Rohit Sharma batted unbeaten for the rest overs, scoring 51 runs off of 28 balls with three fours, five sixes, and not losing his wicket, they were unable to take the lead and win the match.

India’s total score was 266 runs in 50 overs, but they lost 9 wickets during their innings. In this match, Bangladesh’s Ebadot Hossain took three wickets, Mehidy Hasan took two wickets, Shakib Al Hasan took two wickets, while Mustafizur and Mahmudullah each took one wicket.
