Everyone agreed that it was a strong beginning, but after that, Namibia grabbed command of the game and scored 163 runs despite losing seven wickets in only 20 overs. The most runs were scored by Jan Frylinck, who hit four fours on his way to a total of 44 runs off of 28 balls. JJ Smit was not dismissed after scoring 31 runs in just 16 balls, including two fours and two sixes, and he did not lose his wicket in the process.
