The overall number of runs scored by Pakistan was 159, and they lost 8 wickets while doing so over the course of 20 overs. The first two Pakistani wickets fell within a short amount of time, and their team failed to score any significant runs during this period. This was not a promising start for Pakistan. Mohammad Rizwan was only able to score 4 runs, and Babar Azam was out before he could score any runs. Arshdeep Singh was able to eliminate both of them from contention. Following them were Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed, who also had extremely strong performances. Then, Virat Kohli came along and assumed the burden of leading the Indian team to victory over their long-time adversary Pakistan. He struck a total of 6 fours and 4 sixes on his way to scoring 82 runs off of 53 balls and avoiding losing his wicket the entire time. He single-handedly won the game for his team in the nick of time, when Pakistan had a chance to take the lead and win the match. Hardik Pandya was the second highest run scorer for the Indian team. He scored 40 runs off 37 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes before being out by Mohammad Nawaz.

In the last 13 balls, India needs to score 35 runs, and then Virat keeps hitting boundaries one after another. In the final six balls, they need 16 runs, and at that point, nobody knows for certain who will win. It was a time that was filled with a great deal of tension. Virat smashed a stunning six with a no ball, bringing the score down to seven runs in just three balls with India needing 13 runs in the final three balls of the match. After that, they needed one run in just one delivery, and they managed to get it in the nick of time. As a result, they won the match by scoring 160 runs despite losing six wickets.
